Hi Ally,

just download the package and install it in the ACP without uninstalling your existing plugin.
This will update the Plugin itself but keep your existing settings and data.

Sincerely,
Chris

Trying to install this after my server crash, I have loaded it and deleted it several times without installing. But when I try to install I get:

Error
256 — An error occured during the execution of the database query!
ALTER TABLE cf934_users ADD `user_welcome_post_link` VARCHAR(255) NOT NULL DEFAULT ''

Hi Ally,

the problem in your case is, that you didn't had any board-files to restore and just the database backup.
So this means you have some "zombie-tables" from previous plugin installations left in your DB but the Plugin Files are not there anymore. If you try to reinstall the plugin you get the error because the tables the installer wants to create/change are already there.

Try the following:

- go to your ACP

- now put with your ftp program a file called "installed.txt" with just the content "OK" in it in the folder modules/cback_welcome_post/ (or other plugins that cause similar errors when trying to install them).

- give that file full read/write permissions (chmod777)

- now go back to your ACP and reload your Plugin page => it will now look like the plugin is already installed

- click on "uninstall" to uninstall the plugin again. This will remove the zombie tables. If you get an error on uninstall just delete the installed.txt file and reload the ACP Plugin page again

Now you should be able to freshly reinstall the plugin without problems.

Sincerely,
Chris
