Hi itzmie,
generally as long the Domain of your forum is correctly set in the client panel it doesn't matter if your forum ACP doesn't show up the license. Some servers with fsockopen or curl deactivated even don't have the possibility to contact other servers for informations so its just important, that your license data in the client panel here is correct.
But if you have a wrong License Code in your forum you still can try to correct it with this tool:
http://setup.cback.net/license_update.zip
- download the zip and extract it
- upload the file "license.php" in the root folder of your forum (where index.php and ajax.php is also located)
- open the file by entering the URL to that file in your browser (http://yourforum.com/license.php)
- paste the SETUP License Key (the long one) from your client panel in the input field and apply it
- delete the file "license.php" again from your server
The new / current License code will be placed into your local forum. If your server is able to contact our server you will see the correct infos of your license in your forum then. But as I said if this is still not the case it's absolutely no problem as long you see everything correct in the CBACK Client Panel directly. The Licenses are only checked on our side.
To Update the forum just download the Updatepackage (Very important: Updatepackage! Not the complete one) from the client panel. Extract the ZIP and upload the files via ftp to your forum. Use the "MERGE" Option for the Folders and the "OVERRIDE FILE" option for single files so every new file from the update package will be uploaded correctly to your forum.
After Upload run the "update.php" by entering the URL to that file in your browser (http://yourforum.com/update.php). The Database will be automatically updated from 3.7.0 to 3.9.0. Delete the update.php after executing it and you will be on the newest Version.
Additional note: If you use another style than "Liquid" or other Languages than english or german you have to update your own styles and langs manually with our codechanges here:
index.php?f=201
You have to do every codechange seperately from 3.7.0 to 3.9.0.
If you are just using "liquid" and no other language than en and de the updatepack will automatically update your langs and styles and you're done after executing the update.php.
Sincerely,
Chris
